What A Wave Must Be

The dusk kept dropping, dropping still

Happy birthday

Happy birthday to Yvonne.  We all went to BJ’s for dinner.  Somehow,
BJ’s always gives me the worst intestinal problems.  I’m not sure if
it’s just because of the long walk back to the dorms from Westwood up
the hills and all that makes my stomach churn, but I can never manage
to make it all the way back to my room without having to duck into a
bathroom to release, shall we say, the pressure.  I thought that
perhaps if I ate less and didn’t fill all the way up I’d be better
off.  I was doing fine until we got to the start of frat row and then
it was all downhill form there, figuratively speaking.

Starcraft 2 was announced.  Oh man.  The new Protoss units blow my mind.  And the graphics.  Oh man.  I’m so excited.

Almost makes me regret switching.  I’m thinking about doing a dual-boot solely because of Starcraft.  I’ve looked around and there are some ways to get it working with Wine or Cedega.  Wine could be viable, but I’ve not a lot of interest in Cedega mainly because it’s a subscription service, which means that I’d need to be paying money ($5/mo.) for the rest of my life in order to play Starcraft.  I hate subscriptions the most.

And I don’t think Wine would be able to handle Starcraft 2, so it’s sort of out of the question.  Adam has an XP install disc.  It shouldn’t be too hard to configure the dual-boot through Linux.  I’ll do a minimal install.  This means I could go back to CoH too…

Fanime is approaching.  I’m more excited to go home.  It looks like we’re going to PLAY! too.  I’m still more excited to sleep in my own bed.
